Longing Through Iron Bars: Echoes of a Heart in Chains

Poetry Image

In the silence of the night, your absence screams,
A whisper of sorrow, weaving through my dreams.
Iron bars may hold your body tight,
But it’s your spirit that takes flight.

Memories linger, a bittersweet refrain,
Of laughter shared, now shadowed by pain.
Your voice, a distant echo in my mind,
In this dark solitude, love is what I find.

Days bleed into nights, an endless stream,
Each moment apart, an unfulfilled dream.
The walls may cage you, but not my heart,
For our love endures, though we are apart.

Through letters and thoughts, our souls entwine,
In this cruel separation, our hearts still shine.
One day, my love, you’ll be free,
Until then, I’ll wait, for you and me.
