Lonely Nights and Silent Days: A Tale of Missing You Behind Bars

Poetry Image

The walls close in, their gray so cold,
My heart is heavy, stories untold.
I think of you, in dreams you stay,
Through lonely nights and silent days.

The clock ticks slow, the time stands still,
Each passing moment, a bitter pill.
Your laughter echoes in my mind,
A love so pure, so deeply kind.

Through iron bars, I see your face,
A memory I cannot erase.
The letters come, but never soon,
They light my cell like a full moon.

The hope remains, a glimmer bright,
That soon I’ll hold you, day and night.
Until that day, I’ll dream of you,
In this cold cell, my love stays true.
