Loneliness in the Shadows of Sorrow

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, where shadows softly fall,
A heart beats silently, echoing its mournful call.
Each breath a whisper, a testament to the pain,
Of a life lived in sorrow, under a darkened rain.

The days blend together, a seamless gray expanse,
Where joy is but a memory, a fleeting, distant chance.
Eyes that once sparkled now clouded with despair,
Searching for a glimmer, but finding none to spare.

Every step is heavy, with burdens hard to bear,
Each moment a reminder of life’s cruel, endless snare.
The world moves forward, indifferent to the cries,
Of a soul lost in anguish, beneath the weeping skies.

Yet within the darkness, a faint, persistent light,
A hope that through the suffering, there may be some respite.
For even in the deepest pain, a strength begins to grow,
A testament to the spirit, that refuses to let go.
