Loneliness in the Quiet Shadows

Poetry Image

In the stillness of the night, I wander alone,
Through the echoing halls of my silent home.
Each step a whisper, each breath a sigh,
In the solitude where memories lie.

The stars above, they twinkle and gleam,
Yet here on earth, I drown in a dream.
The moon’s soft glow, a silver streak,
Lights the path of the lonely and meek.

Shadows dance on the walls of my mind,
Echoes of laughter I no longer find.
In this vast expanse of empty space,
I search for solace, a familiar face.

But in this quiet, there’s a peace I hold,
A gentle warmth in the night’s cold fold.
For in being alone, I truly see,
The depth of my soul, the essence of me.
