Loneliness: A Silent Whisper in the Dark

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, a shadow falls,
Whispering secrets no one else can hear,
The echo of a heart that softly calls,
For a presence that will never appear.

Beneath the stars, a solitary soul,
Wanders through the maze of empty streets,
Searching for a hand to make them whole,
But finds only the cold wind that it meets.

The moonlight casts a silver, ghostly glow,
Upon the paths where memories reside,
Yet in the stillness, loneliness will grow,
In the spaces where the dreams have died.

And so, in shadows, they will always roam,
Bound by the chains of endless, silent nights,
Seeking a place they might call home,
But lost within the void of distant lights.
