Laughing at the Wrinkles: A Funny Ode to Aging

Poetry Image

Growing old with a twinkle in the eye,
Laughing as the years go by.
Hair turns grey, but spirits stay bright,
Embracing each wrinkle with pure delight.

Memory might play a cheeky game,
Calling grandkids by the wrong name.
Glasses perched on top of the head,
Searching for them, “Oh dear!” we said.

Dancing to tunes from days of yore,
Feet may ache, but hearts want more.
Telling tales of a vibrant past,
Through giggles and chuckles, the moments last.

Age is but a number, they say,
Laughter keeps the years at bay.
So let’s toast to growing older with grace,
And a smile that’s always in place.
