Invisible Scars: The Silent Wounds of Emotional Abuse

Poetry Image

In the shadows of whispered words, a heart silently breaks,
Painted smiles conceal the truth, hidden behind the facade,
Each cruel remark, a dagger’s thrust, leaving unseen aches,
A soul slowly withers, in a world so harsh and broad.

The echoes of disdain, a haunting melody in the night,
Love twisted into chains, binding the spirit tight,
Every tear that falls, a testament to the unseen fight,
In the silence, the pain grows, out of sight.

Trust shattered, in the storm of relentless doubt,
Words like venom, poison the mind, sowing seeds of fear,
The heart’s plea for mercy, drowned out,
By the constant barrage, that no one else can hear.

Yet within the darkness, a spark yearns to ignite,
A whisper of hope, in the midst of despair,
For even the deepest wounds, can find the light,
And a broken soul, can learn to repair.
