In the Silence of the Night, Alone I Stand

Poetry Image

In the silence of the night, alone I stand,
Beneath the silver glow of the moon’s soft light,
Shadows dance around, an ethereal band,
Whispers of the past, echoing in the quiet night.

Stars above, like eyes, they watch my solitary plight,
The stillness deep, wrapping me in a cold embrace,
The world asleep, unaware of my endless fight,
A lone wanderer lost, yearning for a familiar face.

The wind’s gentle touch, a ghostly caress,
Rustling leaves, a symphony of sorrow,
In this moment of solitude, I confess,
My heart aches for a hope, a brighter tomorrow.

Yet in this lonely hour, I find strength anew,
In the quiet, I discover my inner voice,
Alone, but not broken, my spirit grew,
For in the solitude, I find my choice.
