In the shadows of my mind, I drift away,
A soul untethered, lost in endless gray,
The world a distant echo, faint and dim,
Dissociation’s veil, so cold and grim.
I wander through the corridors of thought,
Where memories and dreams are often caught,
But in this haze, I find no solid ground,
Just fleeting whispers, never truly found.
My heart, a phantom, beats in silent space,
Detached from time, devoid of any place,
In this disjointed realm, I seek to see,
The fragments of the person I might be.
Yet hope does linger in the distant light,
A beacon calling through the endless night,
For though I fade into this spectral sea,
There lies a path that leads me back to me.
