In the Shadows of Misunderstanding

Poetry Image

In the shadows of misunderstanding, I stand alone,
Words twisted, meanings lost, a heart turned to stone.
My soul cries out, unheard in the din,
Seeking solace, a place to begin.

Eyes that glance but never truly see,
Judgments passed, as swift as the breeze.
Misconceptions build walls, brick by brick,
Until the essence of self feels eternally sick.

I weave my thoughts into a silent scream,
Hoping one day, they’ll break through the seam.
Misunderstood, I wander this realm,
A ship lost at sea, without a helm.

Yet, in the quiet, a glimmer of hope,
That someday, someone will grasp the rope.
To pull me from this abyss so deep,
And understand the secrets I keep.
