In the Shadows of Memory and Echoes of Silence

Poetry Image

In the quiet dawn where whispers fade,
Lies a heart that once brightly glowed.
The echoes of laughter now softly laid,
In the corridors where time has slowed.

The shadows of you linger in the air,
A gentle touch that time can’t erase.
In dreams, your presence everywhere,
Yet waking finds an empty space.

Tears like rain on barren ground,
Feed the roots of memory’s tree.
In every leaf, your voice resounds,
A symphony of what used to be.

Though loss carves deep within my soul,
Love’s tender light begins to weave.
In grief, I find a fractured whole,
And learn anew how to believe.
