In the Mirror’s Shadow: The Battle Within

Poetry Image

In the silence of the night, shadows grow,
A reflection of a soul, lost and cold,
The mirror whispers tales of woe,
Echoes of a story, never told.

Every flaw magnified, every scar a mark,
The heart burdened by the weight of disdain,
Seeking light in an endless dark,
Drowning in an ocean of internal pain.

Dreams turn to dust, hopes fade away,
The self loathed, the mind in chains,
Wishing for dawn, but trapped in gray,
A prisoner of thoughts, bound by invisible reins.

Yet in this abyss, a spark remains,
A faint whisper of a forgotten grace,
To rise again, to break the chains,
Finding peace in self’s embrace.
