In the Mirror’s Reflection: The Battle Against Beauty’s Chains

Poetry Image

In the mirror’s cold, unyielding gaze,
Lies a world of dreams and broken daze,
Standards carved from stone, so strong,
Whispering, “You don’t belong.”

From magazines and silver screens,
A perfect silhouette, it gleams,
Yet beneath the flawless skin,
Lies a heart, yearning to begin.

Beauty’s chains, they bind so tight,
Casting shadows, dimming light,
But in the cracks, a truth we find,
Beauty’s voice, redefined.

So let us break these ancient ties,
Embrace the flaws, the truths, the lies,
For in our hearts, a beauty’s fire,
Burning bright, our true desire.
