In the silent corridors of my mind,
Shadows dance in a somber kind.
A weight unseen, yet deeply felt,
In the depths where darkness dwelt.
The world outside a distant dream,
Fading echoes of a muted scream.
Every breath a labor, every step a chore,
Lost in a sea with no distant shore.
Eyes that seek, yet seldom find,
The solace that eludes the mind.
A heart encased in sorrow’s cage,
Trapped within this endless stage.
Hope, a flicker, faint and weak,
A whispered wish I dare not speak.
Yet still I move, from night to day,
In the depths, I find my way.
