In Shadows of Authority: A Nation’s Whisper, A People’s Cry

Poetry Image

Beneath the iron skies, a silence falls,
Streets once alive, now echo with the past,
The whispers of freedom, in hallowed halls,
Fade beneath the shadow, long and vast.

In the heart of the night, curfews bind dreams,
The stars watch over, a vigil of despair,
As voices are hushed, under martial schemes,
Hope flickers dim, in the cool night’s air.

Yet beneath the quiet, a fire begins to burn,
A spirit unbroken, by decree or might,
In every heart, the tide starts to turn,
Bound together, we rise from the night.

For freedom’s breath cannot be chained,
Nor dimmed by fear, or silenced plea,
In unity, our spirit is unrestrained,
A testament to our will to be free.
