Imprisoned in Silent Walls of My Own Making

Poetry Image

In the stillness of a shadowed room,
Whispers of dreams long forgotten,
Echoes of laughter, now consumed,
By the ceaseless ticking of time, begotten.
Chains unseen, yet heavy they weigh,
Every breath a muted plea,
Eyes searching for a distant ray,
Of light beyond this endless sea.
Walls confine with silent might,
Boundaries drawn by my own hand,
Yet hope flickers in the night,
A spark that dares to understand.
In this cage where shadows dance,
I seek the key to set me free,
For within lies the chance,
To break the chains and truly be.
