I Told the Stars About You

Poetry Image

Under the vast and endless sky, I whispered your name
To the shimmering stars that seemed to dance in rhythm
They twinkled back with a knowing gleam
As if they too, had heard tales of your gentle soul

I painted your portrait with words on the canvas of night
Every constellation became a brushstroke, a tribute
To the moments we’ve shared, the laughter and the quiet whispers
That only the moon and stars could ever witness

The Milky Way listened with an attentive grace
It cradled our memories, woven in stardust and dreams
Each meteor that streaked across the sky
Seemed to carry a piece of our story, written in light

And as the night faded into dawn’s first light
The stars held onto the secrets we shared
Promising to keep them safe in the heart of the universe
Until the next time I tell them about you
