Friends in Shadows, Hearts in Sorrow

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, when stars seem dim,
We gather close, yet hearts feel far;
Silent whispers of pain within,
Echoes of wounds, each a scar.

Laughter once bright, now faded and thin,
Eyes that once sparkled, now cast down low;
We share a space, but not the light within,
Sad friends, in shadows, where sorrows grow.

Memories of joy, like fleeting dreams,
Drifting away on the winds of our sighs;
We hold each other, but it seems,
The weight of sadness in our eyes.

Yet in this dark, a bond remains,
A silent pact, through pain and strife;
Friends in shadows, sharing chains,
Holding on to the threads of life.
