Floating Between Shadows and Light: A Journey Through Dissociation

Poetry Image

In the quiet echoes of a fractured mind,
Where whispers of reality softly fade,
I drift through shadows left behind,
In spaces where silence is gently laid.

A mirror reflects but holds no face,
The eyes that stare are not my own,
In this realm of endless, empty space,
I wander, feeling both lost and alone.

Time bends and stretches in ethereal ways,
Moments linger, then swiftly fly,
I grasp at strings of fading days,
Yet touch only the threads of a passing sky.

But within this haze, I find a key,
To unlock the door to a world unknown,
Where shadows and light entwine to be,
And I reclaim the self I’ve outgrown.
