Embracing the Humor in Growing Old Gracefully

Poetry Image

As years go by, the mirror tells a tale,
Of laughter lines and hair that’s gone pale.
Glasses on the nose, a cane in hand,
Yet in our hearts, we still feel grand.

The memory fades, but the humor stays,
Forgot where we put the keys for days.
Jokes about naps and bedtime at nine,
Finding joy in the little signs.

Knees may creak and backs might ache,
But it’s the laughter that keeps us awake.
Stories of youth told with a grin,
Cherishing the old, the new within.

So here’s to aging, with a chuckle and a smile,
For every wrinkle, we walk another mile.
Embracing each day with mirth and cheer,
Growing old, but loving it year by year.
