Embracing the Ebony: A Journey Through Night and Light

Poetry Image

In the shadow of the moon, I rise,
My skin a testament to the night.
The darkness is my shield and prize,
In it, I find my strength and light.

The world may cast its judging eyes,
But in my heart, I know the truth.
My heritage is rich and wise,
A tapestry of strength, my youth.

Melanin kissed by the sun’s embrace,
Each hue a story, each shade a song.
In unity, we find our place,
In diversity, we stand strong.

So let the world see what they may,
For in my soul, I hold the key.
To love myself in every way,
In blackness, I find liberty.
