Elegy of the Midnight Mare

Poetry Image

Beneath the moon’s soft, silken light,
She gallops through the silent night.
Her coat as dark as the deepest sea,
A vision of pure, black beauty.

In the meadow where shadows play,
She dances till the break of day.
Her spirit wild, forever free,
Embodiment of serenity.

Her eyes reflect the starry skies,
A universe within her guise.
Graceful steps on hallowed ground,
In her presence, peace is found.

A whisper in the evening’s breeze,
An echo through the ancient trees.
She is the night, the mystery,
A timeless tale of black beauty.
