Economics of the Heartbeat

Poetry Image

In the marketplace of dreams, where hopes are bought and sold,
We barter with our time, for promises untold.
The currency of love, yet fluctuates with fear,
And in this grand exchange, true value isn’t clear.

The balance sheet of life, with credits and with debts,
Reflects the human toil, the trials and the bets.
Investments of our souls, in futures we create,
Compound with every choice, determining our fate.

Supply and demand, in the economy of care,
Where kindness is the stock, and empathy is rare.
Inflation of our trust, can lead to bankrupt hearts,
But dividends of hope, can mend the broken parts.

In this fiscal dance, of give and take and share,
One must find the worth, in moments that we spare.
For in the end, the wealth we truly seek,
Lies not in gold, but in the hearts we speak.
