Echoes of What Could Have Been: A Reflection on Lost Chances and Lingering Regrets

Poetry Image

In shadows cast by choices past,
The echoes of what could have been,
Whisper tales of dreams untold,
In silent nights, they linger on.

A path once clear, now overgrown,
With every step, the weight of time,
Regretful sighs, they weave a tune,
Of moments lost like morning mist.

Beneath the stars, the heart recalls,
The gentle touch of yesteryears,
Yet in the quiet, longing speaks,
Of chances slipped through fingers cold.

If only winds could turn again,
To guide the weary soul to peace,
But in this dance of light and shade,
Regret remains, a bittersweet refrain.
