Echoes of the Past: Reflections on African Colonialism

Poetry Image

In lands where ancient rhythms flow,
Beneath the sun’s relentless glow,
The shadows of a troubled past,
In silence, whisper tales that last.

The chains that bound, the voices hushed,
The dreams of many, hopes were crushed,
Yet in the heart, a fire burned,
A spirit strong, a lesson learned.

The scars of time, though deep they lay,
Have shaped the path of night and day,
Resilience grows in soil so rich,
A legacy that none can pitch.

So let us sing of strength and grace,
Of those who fought to claim their place,
In unity, we’ll find our way,
Past echoes guide a brighter day.
