In shadows deep and silent night,
Where voices fade, lost from sight,
A cry for justice, a plea for light,
Yet darkness cloaks the weary fight.
In streets where dreams are left to die,
Where hope is scarce, and tears run dry,
Equality, an elusive sky,
As hearts are broken, and spirits lie.
The chains of bias, heavy and strong,
Binding souls, they linger long,
Injustice sings its sorrowful song,
A melody of right turned wrong.
But in the hearts of those who see,
A spark ignites, a yearning to be free,
To break the chains of bigotry,
And paint the world with equity.
