In a land where shadows carve the streets,
Division’s scars run deep and steep.
Voices silenced, dreams erased,
Injustice wore its cruelest face.
Walls of fear and hearts confined,
Humanity’s light in darkness blind.
Souls cried out for a world anew,
Where love and peace could finally brew.
Beneath the sun’s unyielding blaze,
Hope was born from freedom’s craze.
Unity’s call through whispers spread,
A promise of a brighter thread.
Now echoes of the past remind,
To guard the future, just and kind.
Apartheid’s shadow fades away,
As dawn brings forth a fairer day.
