Echoes of a Forgotten Land: Shadows of the Past, Whispers of Freedom, The Heartbeat of Africa

Poetry Image

In the heart of Africa, shadows stretch long,
Beneath the ancient baobab, whispers of wrongs,
Stories untold, of chains and of songs,
Echoes of freedom, where the heart belongs.

Once golden savannahs, now stained with tears,
Colonizers’ greed, spanning the years,
Fields of sorrow, amid the jeers,
Africa’s voice, rising through fears.

The land remembers, though time has passed,
Spirits of ancestors, their shadows cast,
Through pain and struggle, they stand steadfast,
The hope of tomorrow, built on the past.

Oh Africa, with your resilient soul,
Through the darkness, you remain whole,
In unity and strength, you achieve your goal,
The heartbeat of freedom, your ultimate toll.
