Confession of a Hidden Heart

Poetry Image

In the shadows of the night, I whisper
Secrets of my heart, soft and tender
Dreams of moments we could share
Yet I remain silent, caught in despair

Your smile, a beacon in my darkened days
Your voice, a melody in endless ways
But fear grips me, holds me tight
Prevents my confession, hides my light

I see you, but my courage wanes
I wish to speak, break these chains
Yet every time I open my lips
The words retreat, in silence slips

So here I stand, heart in hand
Confessing in the quiet, where I stand
Hoping one day, you’ll finally see
The love I hold, deep inside of me
