Chained in Shadows: The Silent Whispers of Addiction’s Grasp

Poetry Image

In the midnight’s silent breath, I wander,Through alleys cloaked in shadows deep,Where whispers echo tales of yonder,And dreams are lost to restless sleep.A siren’s call in every heartbeat,Promises of solace in its hold,A dance with fire, bittersweet,In chains of warmth that turn to cold. The mirror’s face, a distant stranger,Eyes once bright now dim with pain,A soul adrift in endless danger,Seeking refuge in the rain.Yet through the haze, a light emerges,A hope that flickers in the night,To break the cycle, face the surges,And find the strength to seek the light.
