Carbohydrates: The Energy of Life

Poetry Image

In fields of gold, where wheat does sway,
Carbohydrates, our daily ray,
From grains and fruits, they weave their thread,
To energize, to keep us fed.

With every meal, they find their way,
Through bloodstream paths, they dance and play,
A source of strength, so pure, so bright,
They fuel our days, from morn to night.

In pasta, rice, and bread we trust,
These chains of sugar, not to rust,
They store the sun, in every bite,
And give us power, wings for flight.

So let us cherish, understand,
The role they play, in health so grand,
Carbohydrates, simple, complex,
They shape our lives, in ways perplex.
