Breaking Chains: The Journey of Surviving Abuse

Poetry Image

In the shadows of the night, I tread alone,
Bruised by whispers, echoes of a past unknown.
Each step, a battle, each breath, a fight,
Seeking dawn within the endless night.

Chains that bound, now lay in broken heaps,
Scars tell stories of secrets I keep.
From the ashes, a phoenix I rise,
With strength forged in tears, under moonlit skies.

The mirror reflects a soul reborn,
No longer tethered to pain and scorn.
Courage blooms where fear once grew,
Love’s gentle touch, a morning dew.

I am the storm that calms the sea,
The song of freedom, wild and free.
Through the dark, I found my light,
A survivor’s heart, burning bright.
