Bound by Chains of Love: A Tale of Broken Wings

Poetry Image

In the shadows where whispers dwell,
A heart cries out, bound by silent chains,
Promises once wrapped in gentle lace,
Now cut deep like winter’s harshest rains.

Eyes that once shone with warmth and trust,
Now dimmed by sorrow’s endless night,
Words of love turned to biting rust,
In a dance of fear, hidden from sight.

Dreams that fluttered like birds in flight,
Now caged within these walls of pain,
Hope fades with the waning light,
As love’s sweet song becomes a mournful refrain.

Yet in the depths of this stormy sea,
A whisper calls, a flicker of grace,
To break the chains and set her free,
To find new wings and a safer place.
