Betrayal of Trust: When Love’s Vows Are Broken

Poetry Image

In shadows cast by whispered lies,
The heart’s true beat begins to die.
Promises once etched in gold,
Now crumble, lost, and cold.

A gaze that once held love’s pure light,
Now turns away, avoids the sight.
Where warmth and trust did intertwine,
Now only shadows, cold and fine.

In the silence, echoes of deceit,
The rhythm of two hearts, off beat.
Once a duet, now solo cries,
A love that withers, fades, and dies.

Though time may heal, the scars remain,
A testament to love’s true pain.
For in the wake of infidelity,
Trust is shattered, lost to eternity.
