In the masquerade of life we tread,
With faces hidden, secrets wed.
Each mask we wear, a tale untold,
Of dreams and fears, both young and old.
Beneath the surface, shadows play,
Concealing truths we dare not say.
A smile, a frown, a silent cry,
Behind the mask, the heart does lie.
Through every dawn and dusk we glide,
In masks of silk, our souls we hide.
The eyes may glimmer, bright and wide,
Yet deeper still, the real resides.
And when the dance at last is done,
The masks removed, the battles won.
We stand revealed, our spirits free,
Unmasked, unbound, in unity.
