A Shepherd’s Solitary Song: Reflections on Pastoral Life in Miltonian Verse

Poetry Image

In valleys deep where shadows play,Amidst the rolling hills of green,A shepherd treads the ancient way,His heart a part of nature’s scene. The gentle bleat of distant flock,Soft whispers through the morning mist,He roams where time does slowly mock,In solitude, his soul persists. The sun dips low behind the crest,Painting skies with amber hue,He finds in silence, perfect rest,A world both old and ever new.So sings the shepherd, lone and free,In harmony with earth’s own grace,His life a simple melody,In every step, a sacred space.
