A Home’s Silent Cries: The Unseen Scars of Domestic Abuse

Poetry Image

In the quiet corners of a breaking home,
Whispers of pain echo, unheard and alone.
Shadows of fear dance on the walls,
As silent pleas for mercy fall.

The warmth of love, now cold as stone,
Trust shattered, hearts overthrown.
Eyes once bright, now dim with woe,
In the darkness, they silently grow.

Beneath the surface, bruises hide,
Secrets kept, tears all dried.
A facade of normalcy, a mask of grace,
Hides the torment, the endless chase.

Yet in the depths of despair’s grip,
Hope flickers, light’s tiny slip.
Strength will rise, and voices find,
Freedom from the chains that bind.
