A Heart Shattered by Trust’s Deceit

Poetry Image

In twilight’s murmur, shadows softly creep,
A heart once whole now silently weeps.
Trust, a fragile glass, shattered and strewn,
Betrayal’s cold whisper, a sorrowful tune.

Promises once golden, now rust in decay,
Words once tender, now harshly betray.
The light in your eyes, once so bright and clear,
Now dims with deceit, replaced by fear.

Nights grow longer, dreams turn to dust,
Emptiness lingers where once was trust.
Echoes of laughter, now ghosts in the air,
Memories of love, now tangled in despair.

Yet from this darkness, a phoenix may rise,
A heart reborn, beneath truthful skies.
Though scars remain, and wounds take their toll,
Strength will prevail, and heal the soul.
