Memories of What Once Was

Poetry Image

The days have turned to shadows, gray and cold,
Where once the sun shone bright, now stories old.
In echoes of a love that’s lost its way,
I wander through the memories of yesterday.

Your laughter once a melody so sweet,
Now haunts my dreams, a song of incomplete.
The touch that once brought warmth, now turned to frost,
In the silence of the night, I count the cost.

We danced upon the edge of bliss and pain,
And in the end, it’s only tears that rain.
The promises we made, now lie in dust,
A testament to dreams that turned to rust.

Yet in this broken heart, a spark remains,
A whisper of a love that knows no chains.
And though we’ve parted ways, our souls entwined,
In every tear, a piece of you I find.
