Leaving Home: A Journey of Heart and Soul

Poetry Image

In the quiet dusk, the door swings slow,
Shadows dance, memories flow.
Walls that held laughter, whispers of night,
Now echo silence, a bittersweet plight.

Footsteps linger on familiar ground,
Each step a whisper, a nostalgic sound.
The heart pulls back, a gentle plea,
Yet forward I move, to what will be.

The sky expands, horizons wide,
Dreams and fears, side by side.
Leaving home, a tender tear,
Embracing new, with hope and cheer.

Though paths unknown, the heart will roam,
Love and warmth, from where I come.
In every step, the past will gleam,
Home within, a constant dream.
