The Silent Chains of Drug Addiction

Poetry Image

In the shadows of a broken mind,
Lies a heart in chains, hard to find.
The needle’s whisper, a call so strong,
Pulls the weak, where they don’t belong.

The poison seeps, through veins and dreams,
A silent scream, a tear that gleams.
Lost in the haze, of false delight,
Drowning slowly, in the endless night.

Memories fade, in the toxic mist,
Loved ones forgotten, moments missed.
A soul divided, by the need to feel,
The pain so deep, it seems surreal.

But within the dark, a light can shine,
A hope to heal, and redefine.
Break the chains, let freedom ring,
Embrace the dawn, of a new beginning.
