Echoes of the Heartbeat Gone

Poetry Image

In the silent whispers of the night,
I hear your voice, so soft, so light.
A shadow dances in my dreams,
Where once we walked by moonlit streams.

The daylight breaks, but you’re not there,
An empty space, so hard to bear.
I reach for you, but touch the air,
Your absence now, my soul’s despair.

The autumn leaves, they fall like tears,
Each one a memory of our years.
The wind it sighs, a mournful tune,
As if it knows I lost you too soon.

Yet in my heart, you linger still,
A love that time can never kill.
Though you are gone, you’re always near,
My guiding star, my ever dear.
