Whispers of Regret in the Silent Night

Poetry Image

Under the moonlit sky, shadows dance and sway,
Echoes of the past whisper in dismay.
Choices made, now chains that bind,
In the depths of night, peace is hard to find.

Stars above, silent witnesses to my plight,
Regret’s cold touch feels endless and tight.
Dreams once bright now fade away,
In the quiet hours, they seem to fray.

The dawn brings light, yet shadows remain,
A heart heavy with sorrow and pain.
Moments lost, words left unsaid,
In the corridors of time, they tread.

Hope flickers, a distant, fragile light,
Guiding through the darkness of the night.
With each new day, a chance to mend,
The broken pieces, to transcend.
