Whispers of an Empty Stomach

Poetry Image

In the silent night, where shadows play,
Hunger whispers softly, a quiet dismay.
The moonlight cold, a witness to need,
As empty bellies silently plead.

Stars above, shimmering in plight,
Reflect the pangs felt deep in the night.
Eyes that sparkle with dreams unspoken,
Hearts that ache, yet remain unbroken.

The dawn breaks with promises anew,
Yet hunger lingers, a persistent view.
Each ray of sun, a glimmer of hope,
To fill the void, to help us cope.

Through the struggle, a spirit so strong,
In every heart, a silent song.
For a day when hunger’s grasp will cease,
And every soul will find their peace.
