When Shadows Whisper: A Daughter’s Echo

Poetry Image

In the silence of the night, I hear your steps fade away,
Leaving behind memories, like footprints in the clay.
Your absence fills the room, a void so vast and deep,
Where once was laughter, now only tears weep.

The stars whispered secrets, of times we laughed and played,
But now those moments, like dreams, begin to fade.
I reach out for your hand, but grasp the empty air,
Longing for the comfort, that only you could share.

Your voice was once my anchor, in the stormy sea of life,
Now I sail alone, through waves of endless strife.
Each dawn brings hope, but shadows linger still,
I search for you in every face, against my will.

Though you have gone, your spirit lingers near,
In every whispered breeze, I sense you’re here.
I’ll carry your love, through every night and day,
Until we meet again, in dreams where you stay.
