In glassy confines, the elixir swirls,
Promises of joy, in liquid pearls.
Yet shadows lurk within each sip,
A fleeting kiss, from which dreams slip.
The first embrace, a tender glow,
Warming heart, in gentle flow.
But soon the haze, like mist descends,
Dulling senses, where vision ends.
In laughter loud, yet empty cheer,
The truth obscured, by veils of beer.
The soul diluted, in amber streams,
Lost in the dance, of fractured dreams.
Come morning light, with throbbing mind,
The ghost of revelry, left behind.
A vow to part, from bitter night,
Yet drawn once more, to fleeting light.
