The Mirror’s Reflection: Embracing the True Self

Poetry Image

In the mirror, I see a face, a form, a story,
A canvas painted with time’s gentle brush,
Imperfections that whisper tales of glory,
In every line and curve, a quiet hush.

Society’s gaze can be cold and unkind,
Dictating norms that bind and confine,
Yet within my heart, a voice I find,
Whispering truths that are solely mine.

Embracing the stretch marks, the scars, the grace,
Each one a testament to battles won,
In the depth of my soul, I find my place,
A beauty that radiates like the sun.

So let the world see me, in all my light,
For I am more than a mere reflection,
In self-love’s embrace, I take my flight,
A journey of endless, boundless affection.
