Letting Go of Yesterday’s Shadows

Poetry Image

In the whispers of the night, I hear
Echoes of a past once dear,
But time has drawn its curtain close,
And to the future, my heart now goes.

The memories, like autumn leaves,
Drift away with the gentle breeze,
I gather strength with every dawn,
Embracing life, as I move on.

The scars of yesteryears may fade,
Yet in my heart, their mark is made,
But with each step, I rise anew,
Finding joy in skies so blue.

So here I stand, with open arms,
Ready for what life may charm,
For in the end, what truly grows,
Is the love and peace my spirit knows.
