The Echoes of Silence: A Journey Through Death and Grief

Poetry Image

In the quiet of the night, I hear a whisper
A gentle reminder of times gone by
The echoes of silence, they linger
As memories of you float in the sky

The weight of loss, a heavy burden
Each tear a testament to love’s great cost
In the shadows, I search for a curtain
To shield my heart from what I’ve lost

Yet in the darkness, a light does glimmer
A beacon of hope, faint but true
Through the pain, my spirit grows slimmer
But love’s eternal flame burns for you

Though death has taken, grief remains
A silent companion, a lifelong friend
In the heart’s chambers, your essence sustains
Until we meet where sorrow ends
