When Friends Drift Apart

Poetry Image

In the silence of the night,
I hear echoes of laughter once shared,
Moments fading, memories fleeting,
Our bond, now a threadbare thread.

Days turn into years,
And the distance only grows,
Once close as kin, now strangers,
In the ebb and flow of life’s woes.

Time, the great divider,
Pulls us further from our past,
Faces blur, voices falter,
Friendships that were meant to last.

Yet in the quiet of my heart,
I hold a space for you, my friend,
For though we walk different paths,
My hope is we’ll find each other again.
